Just searched the “Adam Young” tag and wow, I can feel the love tonight. Thank you all so much for your extreme kindness as well as your excitement about the music I make and the projects I’m involved with. It goes without saying that I remain truly indebted to you for your continual support, and thus, with all the heartfelt sincerity I can muster, I want to say thank you.

I have this crazy theory that I’ve yet to make the music I’m going to be remembered for after I’m gone, and I’m unbelievably excited to find out what that is, what it sounds like, how it works, where it leads, who it speaks to, and of course, I greatly look forward to sharing it with you as I discover it. The thing about a solo artist creating music away from the influence of other musicians is that the presentation of his art may inherently keep changing like the ebb and flow of the tide, but despite the push and pull of his own inspirations, the heart and soul of the artist will always remain the same. Thus, I believe it is extremely important as both artist and listener, to allow the music to carry you wherever the winds may choose to blow.
